Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare

These days, whenever I load up a game like Call Of Duty, I find myself a little taken back by the longevity of such a franchise. After all, series like this and Battlefield have been a point of derision among gamers, as they represent the big money of the gaming industry. For a while it even seemed like there was a genuine revolt against the yearly releases and expensive DLC. The surprising thing is that despite the trajectory of popular opinion, this is a series that has managed to maintain its position as one of the most consistent and reliable triple-A titles on the market.

Transformers: Devastation

Every now and then a game comes along that does exactly what it sets out to do, but it's not the biggest or best game in the world, it's just very well made. I'd be lying if I said that I expect nothing less from Platinum Games, so as good as Transformers: Devastation is, I'm not surprised for a second.

Destiny 2

There are times when it's easy to forget how relevant the cost of a game can be when thinking about quality and enjoyment. After all, my experience with the original Destiny was quite mediocre, so I never expected to be playing the sequel anytime soon. That is until Bungie and Activision decided to discount the game heavily not long after release.

Destiny

I've been debating whether or not I had anything useful to say about a game that's now been surpassed by its sequel, and ultimately relegated to a terminal wind-down period. It won't be long before we see the Destiny servers shut down in favour of Destiny 2, or even a third by the time it all rolls around. Despite there being an active community of players stuck on the first Destiny, it's no secret that the title is on its way out.
