Spintires

There are many reasons why the term 'early access' has become a four-letter-word in my world, and I'm sure that many of you will know why. Much like crowd-funding, there's so much potential for good, but we've all seen the mismanagement and failures that give these systems a bad name. Unfortunately, the bad often outweigh the good, even within the same project.

Is it a sin to dislike a game, simply because it caters for an audience that you're not a part of. Or should we be more objective and consider its merits, somehow attempting to guess what a different gamer would think of the same game. Well, this isn't that kind of blog, and I ended up not liking Dirt Rally very much.

Euro Truck Simulator 2

Much like the Farming Simulator series, Euro Truck Simulator 2 has to deal with being a decent simulator game amongst a gallery of jank. Thankfully though, there's enough simulation here to make it interesting, while cutting back on some of the more tedious aspects of driving a truck around Europe.

Wheels Of Aurelia

Do we enjoy short narrative games with innovate methods of story-telling? By now it should be obvious that a game like Wheels Of Aurelia, with an interesting premise and unique gameplay, is right up my alley. Sure it's a small, short indie game that was released to little fanfare, but it's a game that exemplifies how unique telling a story while driving a car can be.
