It's been a hot minute since I wrote about any games on this blog, but that's not for a lack of choice, as I've been enjoying a whole heap of interesting titles along the way. It's just a matter of fact that life usually wins when prioritising how I spend my time, so as much as I enjoy these little rants about games, they can easily be pushed aside. Nevertheless, I thought it fitting to post about a game that I would usually avoid like the plague, but eventually hooked me in and never let go.

I always think it's a little weird to think of internet trends in terms of eras and generations. Then again, we've been interacting and socialising online for a long time now, so it's bound to reflect the ups and downs of real life to some extent. While I wasn't young enough for the super early stages of the internet, I was definitely around for the ICQ/Netscape/MySpace era.
One of the coolest aspects of modern gaming, has to be how accessible it is for everyone involved. As gamers we have the choice of so many games coming from so many different sources. Whatever your budget, there's something out there of quality to play, even if you don't want to spend anything at all.
Here is a game that says it's "for adults" and will respect you time with a "mutation in text-based adventure". If it weren't for the integrity of Bithell Games' track record, this would all smell a bit fishy and invite hard-nosed scepticism. Thankfully, the lame marketing speech only goes as far as the sales pitch, leaving the actual game experience to be engaging and unique.
